Just
to let you know that after some 18 months of dwindling
numbers attending the Bristol local area meet, I am
drawing it to a close.
Last meeting we had just 3 members including myself
attend. This has been the case all of this year. When
we started 16 to 20 turned up every month.
It seams a shame, but I have to take into account that
most of the members have different reasons for not attending.
This ranges from running their own businesses, to moving
further away, family commitments and just being unable
to afford attending due to the increase in utility bills
and fuel.
Rather than feel sad about this, I think it is better
to be thankful for the support that the local members
have shown over the last 4 years. Many of which have
served on the committee, taken part in events and helped
bring change to the club in one way or another. I feel
happy when I look back and remember what has been achieved.
