Area Groups > Real South East Area

Hamish, the club chairman is looking to start up a Real South East group based in the worthing and Brighton area.

The first meeting for this group will be at Trish and Hamish's house, on 14 January 2006 where nibbles will be available from 2000 onwards. There are 10 members within 10 miles of this location so hopefully we can start to get a good turn out!

An interesting event that Hamish is trying to arrange is a trip round Ricardo. These are the people who has made the gearbox for the 1,000+ bhp Bugatti Veryon. For this to happen at least 10 people need to commit. The only downside is that this will most likely take place on a week day, but should be a trip not to be missed!

The Real South SE Group has met twice in the last 6 months. On January 14 we met to discuss a list of possible places to visit as a group and possible events in which we could take part. These are as follows:

Most of the above have items/places of interest for the whole family. The idea is to get a group together nearer the events to make best use of the time together and to view the facilities/event. Only a few of the events on offer are listed above hence the reason for including the web address to seek further information. The Morgan Museum at Rolvenden in Kent was also considered but appears to have closed. An enquiry was made to Amberley regarding Quantum Cars participating in some of the events to enhance the attraction but did not meet with approval.

All the events are open to the public. To create a club event, members are asked to communicate via SmartGroup (unreliable at present) or email to Hamish. It may well be pertinent to visit some of the venues on non-event days. Other gatherings will be organised during the year.
