AGM
2009
Yes,
it very early, but it's time to start thinking about this
years AGM. The committee have decided that we will hold
the AGM in the marquee, on the club stand at the Stoneleigh
show, Sunday 3rd May 2009. Further details will follow,
including an official notice. It is vital that all members
bring their membership cards, so we can ensure that only members
vote on club issues.
As every year, all committee places are open to election and
all members can propose another member for any position.
To help with the planning, please contact
any committee member if you have an item for the agenda.
QM
Archive
If
you haven't visited the
members only section of this site recently, you may have
missed the downloadable archive of Quantum Mechanics that
is now available. This is a fascinating history of not
only the club, but also the kit car industry as a whole -
well worth a visit.
Membership
Matters
There
are still a number of members who have not ammended their
standing order for payment of club membership fees correctly.
Club membership currently runs at £15/year. The
club year runs from 1st May through 30 April and standing
order payments should be sent on 31 March each year.
Any members not paying the full £15 membership fee will
not be accepted as a member, hence will not receive any editions
of Quantum Mechanics, or any other club benefits. Additionally,
please ensure that you complete the DPA part of the membership
form each year, as it's vital to enabling the club to
provide many membership benefits, such as the club insurance
discount. Paying by standing order allows our hard working
membership secretary to arrive at Stoneleigh more prepared
for distributing membership cards and allows more time to
sign up new members.

Tour 2009
You
committee have been working hard to organise a tour for 2009.
After 3 successful years touring Ireland with the Irish Kit
Car Club, it's the turn of the QOC to be hosts. John
Adams from the IKCC, assisted
by wife Jan, has done us proud in previous year, so it's a
hard act to follow. Initial tour details
are now available, but places are limited, so please contact
Andy
Heaton or Geoff
Ward asap to register your interest.
Events
List
The
events list for
2009 has now been added, but more QOC events are planned.
Make sure you add these important events to your calendar
as we'd love to see members old and new at as many events
as possible.
