Why
has the gel coat on my kit car bloomed?
Any
polish containing ammonia is not good for Polyester (gel coat)
and will eventually cause the resin to break down. This gives
the blooming effect in the gel coat. A good polish to use
and one that Quantum Sports Cars recommend is Autoglym,
which is an easy to use polish and does not contain ammonia.
