QSC Open Day 2004

[ The intrepid drivers ]The weekend of July 10-11 was the factory open day ay Quantum Sports Cars, and also the weekend when the Quantum Owners Club helped the factory team commemorate 18 year of the Quantum marque. The day started early for some club members as they traveled great distances, for example from Wick in Scotland, to be at the old Quantum Sports Cars factory in Stourbridge shortly after 8am on the Saturday, for a breakfast kindly supplied by Mark Wooldridge, one the the founders of QSC.

[ The cars making the journey ]At around 10am a convoy of 17 Quantums left the old factory in Stourbridge for the Xtreme Works in Loddiswell. The weather was not kind as most of the convoy pulled into a service area on the M5 to sort out their wet weather protection. Then things got even worse with heavy traffic slowing progress dramatically. It was good to be driving along passing or being passed by the numerous Quantums that were on the road - quite an impressive sight.

As planned the re-grouped at the Taunton Deane services to complete the final part of the journey in a tighter group. Due to the showery weather and the stop-start nature of the traffic, the planned photoshoot at Kingsbridge had to be called off and the convoy headed directly to the Xtreme Works.

[ The convoy team at Loddiswell ]The entire convoy made it safely to the factory where all cars parked in the courtyard outside the showroom and again posed for photos.
